A Message from the President

“Together, we are sending girls to school, restoring our music department, and building futures that will outlast us all.”

Dear sisters and friends — it is my profound honor to welcome you to the Texas chapter of the Annie Walsh Old Girls Association. Since 1849, our beloved school has shaped the minds and hearts of young women in Freetown, and since 2009, our chapter has carried that legacy across the Lone Star State.

Every donation, every dues payment, and every gathering here is more than a transaction — it is a thread in the unbroken sisterhood that connects us to Freetown and to one another.

Today, our chapter is proud to collaborate with the school on its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) initiatives — working alongside school leadership to equip classrooms, expand digital access, and give every student the tools to thrive in a connected world. This continued partnership, alongside our scholarships and music program, ensures our girls are prepared not only to learn, but to lead in the digital age.

I invite you to join us as a member, a donor, a volunteer, or a friend. There is a place for every alumna in this sisterhood.

With gratitude and pride,

Leona Hassan
